Happy Spring. The Parks Conservancy Staff and Board of Directors has been busy over the last month moving forward on launching our strategic plan for 2019 and beyond. We’ll be sharing more with you over the coming months.
There is exciting progress happening in Swede Hallow Park with the City formulating a Master Plan for the Park with funds received from the McNeely Foundation. Other board members and I have participated in some of the community engagement sessions for the Park and the first Master Plan meeting was held last week. Stay tuned for more news about Swede Hallow.
I am very excited for the Grand Opening of Rice Park on June 11th at 4:30. Please join us for this celebration of the Park’s revitalization. It was a tough winter having to view Rice Park from behind a construction fence. But the end is in site and we’ll finally be able to get back into the Park soon.
As always, thank you for supporting the Saint Paul Parks Conservancy.
– Garth Morrisette, 2018-2019 Board President
