Annie Huidekoper
Celebrating nature, the individual, and community –is why Annie loves parks. It makes her heart soar, while gardening in her front yard, to hear the uplifting music at the Lakeside Pavilion; the thrilling call of a pileated woodpecker; and the joyous laughter of friends and families strolling along Como Park’s paths.
Professionally, Annie helped launch the St. Paul Saints Professional Baseball Club in 1993, and played a key role in laying the foundation for a new community ballpark in St. Paul’s Lowertown neighborhood, CHS Field – the home of amateur and pro baseball as well as countless events.
Annie has also served on many boards over the years, from Chrysalis (now Harriet Tubman), to the Midway YMCA, to my current role with the Como Community Council, with a focus on engagement and equity.
