The Story of Margaret Park

Margaret Park is a true neighborhood resource for families with softball fields, a lighted soccer field, which can be used for football, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and a great sledding hill. The new large playground is dedicated to the memory of Sergeant “Jerry” Vick. The latest improvement was a handsome restroom pavilion.

The community loves this park and many residents fondly remember longtime volunteer park steward Roger Tate, who picked up litter and tended plantings.

The removal of the former Margaret Recreation Center has left a real gap for local families. With your help, the Conservancy will add a splash pad to increased summertime enjoyment and help children beat the extreme heat we can face in a Minnesota summer.
